It’s Senior Prom time, not only for high schools but at the Oak Park Arms Retirement Community. Seniors will be dancing the night away at the Seniors’ Senior Prom titled “A Starry Night” from 6 – 9 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Oak Park Arms Retirement Community, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The public is warmly welcome to attend and dance the night away.
Live music is provided by Freenotes Big Band, an 18-piece orchestra that plays music from 1940s through the 1960s. The Freenotes originated more than 30 years ago, and the band has been growing ever since. Today’s 18 members range in age from 30 to 70.
A highlight of the prom is the crowning of the 2019 king and queen who are elected by the residents. A special dance will take place featuring all the kings and queens, past and present.
Oak Park Arms Senior Living is a rental retirement community which provides senior housing in the form of independent living. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
The prom is free and open to the public, but reservations are requested. For more information call 708-386-4040.
