The Oak Park Arms Music Club (record spinning club) will celebrate Mother’s Day, Memorial Day and the start of spring at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 408 S. Oak Park Ave.
Host Dan Kane will spin the oldies in a song salute to motherhood, the flowers that bloom and veterans.
A resident of Oak Park, Kane is a genealogist and radio announcer. He graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA and is the founder and sole proprietor of Extended Family Ties. In addition to leading the monthly music club at the Arms, he is also the host of the “Polish Film Festival” and led last year’s popular film series, “You be the Critic.”
Oak Park Arms Senior Living is a rental retirement community which provides senior housing in the form of independent living. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
