The Monday Night Concert Series features Paul Marinaro at 7 p.m. Monday, May 7 at the Oak Park Arms retirement community, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
Chicago-based jazz vocalist Paul Marinaro, dubbed as having “one of the most beautiful vocal instruments in the business today” by Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune, has become one of the most in-demand and respected male vocalists.
Marinaro demonstrates a mastery of and a passion for the material he chooses. He performs in Chicago’s world-famous venues including the Joe and Wayne Segal’s Jazz Showcase, The Green Mill, Andy’s Jazz Club, and at the Chicago Jazz Festival in Millennium Park.
Randy Freedman of Chicago Jazz Magazine said, “Marinaro was at once vocalist, narrator, storyteller, historian and the most dapper and elegant of tour guides as he musically transported us…”
The Monday Night Concert Series, which is free and open to the public, is dedicated to presenting small ensembles, primarily solos, duos and trios.
The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community that provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
