The Monday Night Concert Series features Jazz vocalist Libby York with Russ Philips and Jeremy Kahn at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
Vocalist Libby York, a Chicago-born chanteuse, will perform classic jazz standards accompanied by Russ Philips on trombone and Jeremy Kahn on piano. She has released several critically acclaimed recordings.
York graduated from the American University in Washington, D.C., and she was musically influenced early on by her parents who each played piano. Other inspiring performers included Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mercer, George Gershwin, and Rosemary Clooney.

The Monday Night Concert Series, which is free and open to the public, is dedicated to presenting small ensembles, primarily solos, duos and trios.
The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides senior housing in the form of independent living and assisted living apartments.
