A wine and cheese reception will take place for the opening of a new art installation from 2– 4 p.m. Sunday, April 6, in the Narrow Gallery at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. Students from Nancy Fong’s art class will present their paintings in an exhibit titled, “Renderings of the Old Masters.”
More than 15 of Fong’s students from her senior group in the Life Long Learning Center, housed within the Arms, have created copies of works from master painters as a salute to their legacy. These rendered copies have been created through various media.
Fong has taught art to people of all ages and has taught at the Senior Citizen’s Center for more than 13 years.
The gallery can be viewed daily from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. through Sunday, May 25th.
Oak Park Arms Senior Living is a rental retirement community which provides senior housing in the form of independent living. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
The reception is free and open to the public. The works will be on display until Sunday, May 25. For more information call 708-386-4040.
