A wine and cheese reception will take place to celebrate the opening of a new art installation titled, “Howard McClain: Retrospective,” from 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30, in the Narrow Gallery at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The reception is free and open to the public.
McClain, a resident of the Oak Park Arms, presents a retrospective of his popular and colorful outsider art which is art produced by self-taught artists who are not part of the artistic establishment.
The artist will be in attendance for the opening and will be available for a question and answer session during the reception.
The exhibit can be viewed daily from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
Oak Park Arms Senior Living is a rental retirement community which provides senior housing in the form of independent living. Furnished apartments are also available for a short-term stay – a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
