The Monday Night Concert features Larry Kohut at 7 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Avenue. The concert is Kohut’s debut at the Oak Park Arms.
Kohut is one of Chicago’s most active and diverse bassists, performing on more than 40 albums and many film scores. He has played with such major jazz artists as Ramsey Lewis, Mel Tormé, Tony Bennett and Barry Manilow.
He studied at Berklee College of Music and Northern Illinois University.
The Monday Night Concert Series presents free concerts to the public featuring outstanding local soloists and small ensembles, primarily duos and trios.
