The Monday Night Concert Series features “The Art of the Duo” with Andy Brown and Jeremy Kahn at 7 p.m. Monday, June 25, at the Oak Park Arms retirement community, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. The Monday night concerts are free and open to the public.
Guitarist Andy Brown has played professionally for more than 20 years. He works at many of the area’s finest jazz venues with his own bands as well as plays his unique brand of solo jazz guitar. He accompanied Barbra Streisand when she appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
A resident of Oak Park, Jeremy Kahn has played jazz piano in venues around the world. He also plays in pit orchestras for musicals. He has played with Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, Joni Mitchell and Alvin and the Chipmunks. He earned bachelor’s degree in Music from Boston’s New England Conservatory.
The Monday Night Concert Series, which is free and open to the public, is dedicated to presenting small ensembles, primarily solos, duos and trios.
