Dr. Mary M. DiSomma will provide information on foot pain due to diabetes at a workshop at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave.
The doctor will review health practices and complications to feet and ankles for those living with diabetes. Samples of diabetic shoes, which are covered by Medicare, will be on hand.
Dr. DiSomma is a highly-trained specialist in medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. She received her podiatric degree from the William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her surgical residency at Mercy Hospital in Chicago and its outpatient facility, Mercy Medical in Justice.
She is a member of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and a member of both the American and Illinois Podiatric Medical Associations. She is affiliated with Rush Oak Park Hospital.
